Please refer to the King County Housing and Community Development Division Supplemental Consultant Contract Conditions; Section: Other Provisions; Point #5; Subpoint H. Page 36 of 43 “Small Contractors and Suppliers and Minority and Women Business Enterprises Opportunities King County encourages the Contractor to utilize small businesses, including Small Contractors and Suppliers (SCS), as defined below, and minority-owned and women owned business enterprises certified by the Washington state Office of Minority and Women's Business Enterprises (OMWBE) in County contracts. “ 2. Does this project have green/sustainability standards? a. No, the project does not have any green/sustainability standards unless the Grant for the Senior Center Project requires those standards. 3. Consultant' s Compliance Statement: what needs to be complete within this section. a. Be sure to fill out all forms in the SOQ package. 4. Are you looking for a full team for the RFQ, or individual consultants to form a team? a. The City is looking for a Full Team for the RFQ to help with this project. 5. Would the City be able to provide an excel file for Exhibit B – Project Approach Chart (PAC)? a. Yes, we do have them. A link for the Project Approach Chart will be available Project Approach Chart 6. When will record / existing condition drawings be provided? a. Yes, we do have them. A link for those drawings will be available As-Builts – Senior Center 7. Do record drawings show mechanical systems? a. Yes, we do have them. A link for those drawings will be available. As-Builts – Senior Center 8. Are there any energy efficiency goals above and beyond (energy) code required minimum? a. Unless the grant for the Senior Center Project specifies energy efficiency goals, the city does not require them. Senior Center SOQ - Questions and Answers DATE: April 4th, 2025 9. Should we include energy modeling in the scope of design work? a. Energy Modeling is not required in the scope of design work. 10. Is any of the current mechanical equipment gas powered? a. The Mechanical equipment is not gas powered. 11. If the equipment is gas, is it desired to be converted to electric or maintained gas? If electric conversion is desired, has the City worked with Puget Sound Energy or looked into grants for conversion? a. No need for any of the conversion; all the system are Electrical Powered. 12. Is there currently, or will there be, desire to add (Photovoltaic) solar to the building? a. No, we will not be adding solar to the building 13. It was mentioned that the property is considered historic. Is there any historic designation for the property currently? a. The Senior Center is not designated as a Historic Site, but we are required to have a letter during the design that states we are using materials that are the same or similar for HUD requirements. 14. Does the City of Renton have additional review or documentation requirements associated with any historic designation if so? a. No, there is no additional review or documentation except for a statement stating we are using the same or close to same materials required by HUD 15. Is there any interest in pursuing funding related to historic building status? a. No, there is no interest in pursuing funding related to the historic building status.
