This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have
been paraphrased and summarized.
On 04/07/2025 at approximately 1457 hours, myself, Officer R. Watson, was dispatched to a hit and run, at
715 N Landing Way, in the City of Renton, King County, Washington.
Dispatch notes stated that a vehicle had hit another in the LA Fitness parking lot and left the scene.
While driving to the scene, dispatch was able to obtain a vehicle license plate of the vehicle that fled the
collision scene from the reporting party, Rosa M. Vargas (DOB 07/05/1973).The license plate to the vehicle
that left the scene of the collision was reported as WA plate# B59541W.The license plate returned to a vehicle
matching the description of the vehicle given by Vargas, as a 2005 Red Ford F-150 pickup.The vehicle was
registered to a business, Pease and Sons INC, out of Tacoma. I conducted a search on the internet for the
business and contacted the number on their website. I spoke with Ryan Pease,the fleet manager,to see if he
would be able to provide me with the driver's info. I provided Ryan with the vehicle's information, and he said
that he believed it had been sold, but that he would look it up and provide me with the Report of Sale. Ryan
later sent me the Report of Sale for the vehicle, and it showed it sold to Terry George, with an address of 611
Houser Way S, Renton.
When I arrived on scene, Renton Fire Department was on scene already, at the request of Vargas. Vargas had
requested her young children in the vehicle be checked by medics out of an abundance of caution. Renton Fire
Department medics checked the children out, but no reports of pain were noted.Vargas stated that she was
traveling northbound on Logan when she turned into the entrance of the LA Fitness parking lot.Vargas was
traveling eastbound through the parking lot in the lane closest to the building when a red pickup truck backed
into her about 100 feet into the parking lot.The driver of the pickup truck then told them to pull into a spot so
they can talk. Vargas said she pulled into a spot and that is when she saw the red pickup truck drive at a high
rate of speed, away from the area and leave the parking lot heading southbound on Logan.Vargas stated she
had a video of the vehicle. I provided her with an AXON community link to upload the video for evidence.
I asked Vargas if she would like to be a victim and press charges, but she declined to pursue charges. Vargas
was however interested in filing a report for insurance purposes.They were not able to provide an estimate
for the damage of the vehicle. I took pictures of the damage to her vehicle, a 2010 Black BMW X5,WA plate#
BFH0787, and uploaded them to evidence.com.The damage appeared to be to the passenger side rear panel

number for her incident.
