This Temporary Use Permit application is for the operation of the Renton Farmers Market (RFM), a
seasonal open-air market in Downtown Renton. The market serves as a vibrant community
gathering space and supports local agriculture and small businesses by o ering Washington-grown
produce and locally made goods.
Event Schedule and Setup Details:
RFM takes place every Tuesday from June 3rd through September 30th.
· Vendor setup begins at 12:00 PM.
· The market is open to the public from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
· Take-down and clean-up conclude by 8:30 PM.
Parking for Attendees:
Attendees are encouraged to use the City Parking Garage located at 655 S 2nd St, which o ers
convenient access to the market area.
Market Overview:
Each week, the RFM features 60+ vendors o ering a wide variety of items including:
· Fresh, Washington-grown fruits and vegetables
· Local cheese, honey, beer, wine, and flowers
· Freshly baked goods, teas, spices, and ready-to-eat foods
· Handmade crafts and artisan goods
RFM also provides live music, children’s activities, and educational resources such as Master
Gardener booths. These community-driven features help foster a welcoming atmosphere for all
ages and backgrounds.
Additionally, RFM provides food access programs like the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance
Program (SNAP) and SNAP Match—an incentive that doubles SNAP benefits dollar-for-dollar for
purchasing fresh fruits and vegetables. Participating farmers at RFM also accept benefits from the
Farmers Market Nutrition Program for Seniors and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for
Women, Infants, and Children (WIC).
