EF66095 CASE# 25-1483 OF DATE AND r�N + 02/15/25 19:00 O�COLLISION NARRATIVE Unless otherwise noted, all events took place in the City of Renton, in the County of King, in the State of Washington. This incident was captured on my body worn video camera and in-car cameras. This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. On 2/15/2025, at approximately 1903 hours I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run at Popeyes Fried Chicken located at 105 SW 7th St. Dispatch advised 5 minutes ago collision occurred and the other involved driver left the scene. At approximately 1904 hours I arrived on scene. I contacted the driver of Unit 2 asked if he was injured. He stated he was not injured. I asked the driver of Unit 2 for his license registration and insurance. He provided all 3 documents. The driver of Unit 2 provided the following information. He was driving southbound on Hardie Ave SW in lane 2 of 2. This lane was designated to go straight through the intersection. The driver of Unit 1 was driving southbound on Hardie Ave SW in lane 1 of 2. This lane was a designated right turn only lane. The driver of Unit 2 proceeded south bound through the intersection of SW 7th St towards the Popeyes. The Driver of Unit 2 then attempted to turn right into the parking lot of Popeyes. Unit 1 also proceeded southbound through the intersection despite being in right turn only lane. Unit 1 drove partially on the curb on the west side of Hardie Ave SW just south of SW 7th St. The driver of Unit 2, not realizing Unit 1 was to his right on the curb, attempted to turn right into the parking lot of Popeyes. Unit 1 then hit the front right wheel well of Unit 2 with the front left bumper of Unit 1. The driver of Unit 1 pulled up in front of Unit 2 and got out to speak with the driver of Unit 2. The driver of Unit 1 asked the driver of Unit 2 not to call the police. When the driver of Unit 1 realized the police were being called, he walked back to his car and drove off southbound towards Rainier Ave S. The air bags were not deployed. The was paint transfer to the front right wheel well of Unit 2. The front right tire of Unit 2 stuck in the left turn position. Unit 2 had to be towed. The driver of Unit 2 stated Unit 1 was a gray Infinity 4 door sedan. The driver of Unit 1 was a white male, approximately 5'8-5'9, beard with goatee, possibly a Russian or Ukrainian accent. The driver of Unit 2 stated he would be able to identify the driver of Unit 1 if he saw him. Based on the information above, if a suspect can be identified there is probable cause for the crime of Hit and Run. I took photos of Unit 2 and uploaded them into evidence.com.
