This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have
been paraphrased and summarized.
On 04/13/2025 at approximately 1324 hours, I was dispatched to a to vehicle collision without injuries at the
intersection of Hardie AVE SW and SW Sunset BLVD, within the City Limits of Renton, County of King, State of
Washington.
Upon arrival, another officer was out with the vehicles in the KeyBank parking lot at 53 SW Sunset BLVD.
Neither party complained of injuries and declined the offer to have Renton Fire Department respond to the
scene.
The driver of Unit#1(WA Plate# BMY4222, Sheryl L. Aaker DOB 11/15/1954,verified by WADOL photo) stated
that she was traveling southbound on Hardie AVE SW, came to the intersection of SW Sunset BLVD,turned
into the number 2 lane of SW Sunset BLVD when she had a green light and then immediately turned into the
number 1 lane. Sheryl stated that when she was turning from the lane just after the intersection is when she
made contact with Unit#2. Sheryl provided her documentation in order to facilitate an exchange of
information between parties. Sheryl's vehicle had minor damage to the front passenger side panel along with
moderate damage to the passenger side door.
The operator of Unit#2 (WA Plate#CBAILEY, Charles E. Bailey DOB 09/06/1948,verified by WADOL photo),
stated he was traveling eastbound in the number one lane, on SW Sunset BLVD when he was struck by Unit
#1. Charles provided his documentation in order to facilitate an exchange of information between parties.
Charles'vehicle had minor damage to the front driver's side panel.
An exchange of information was given to the drivers of both unit 1 and 2 along with the case number for them
to reference. Both vehicles were able to be driven away from the scene.
