On April 14th, 2025, 1 was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for the City
of Renton. I was dispatched to report of a hit and run which had just occurred near the intersection of NE 4th St
and Union Ave NE Renton/King/WA. Lorenzo Solis Gomez DOB: 10/21/1975 Was calling to report that a
vehicle had struck his silver 2006 Toyota Tacoma WA/C18813S causing damage to the rear passenger tire.
I met Lorenzo at the location, and he showed me that his rear passenger side tire was flat with slight damage to
the wheel well. Lorenzo said that he was in the eastbound turn lane to turn north onto Union Ave NE. Lorenzo
said that the light was green, and he was driving east about to make the turn when vehicle 2 attempted to
merge into the turn lane from the middle lane. He said the vehicle struck him causing the flat tire before fleeing
the scene. Lorenzo said the suspect vehicle would have damage to the front driver side bumper or quarter
panel area.
Lorenzo did not see the driver, he did not have a license plate, and he says he believed the vehicle fled
eastbound on NE 4th but could have gone southbound on Union Ave. He was only able to describe the vehicle
as a small sedan black in color.
Lorenzo said he did have dash camera but he was not sure if it caught anything and he was not able to pull it up
on scene.
I provided Lorenzo with a case number and sent him an Axon link to upload the footage once he had it.
Nothing further at this time.
