EF68543 CASE# 25-1535 O OF COLLI r�510NN + 02/17/25 14:06 COLL1 NARRATIVE On February 17, 2025, at approximately 1406 hours, I was dispatched to a non-injury and non- blocking hit and run vehicle collision at the intersection of Williams Ave S and S 3rd St, within the City Limits of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. While en route, dispatch advised that unit 2, a Jeep Compass bearing Washington plates CMN9366, had fled the scene. The Jeep Compass was last seen going southbound on Williams Ave S. Later, Sergeant Trader advised via radio that he had the vehicle stopped at the S Grady Way and Williams Ave S. Upon my arrival, I was able to speak with the driver of unit 1. The driver, identified by their WADL's as Priscilla K. Bidelman, gave me her independent summary of the events leading up to the collision. Priscilla said she was exiting a parking stall on the westside of Williams Ave S, just south of S 3rd St. Pricilla stated that she was intending to merge left to proceed southbound onto Williams Ave S. Pricilla explained she revered, canted her vehicle left, cleared the roadway, and proceeded to merge left onto Williams Ave S. Pricilla stated that she believed traffic was clear and began to turn out into the roadway. As Pricilla moved forward unit 2 suddenly appeared. Both collided in the roadway causing significant damage to the front driver's fender, and bumper of Unit 1. Pricilla said the driver of unit 2 exited the vehicle, holding a phone a hand. The driver, later identified by her WAID as Bertha Bethund Tracy Little, was "facing time" another female. Pricilla believed Bertha was not paying attention to road, causing the collision. Bertha requested that Pricilla not call the police and asked to exchange information civilly. Pricilla agreed at first, but then changed her mind when Bertha refused to identify herself. Bertha said she needed to leave, entered her vehicle, and fled the location. Pricilla stated that Bertha never provided any information and fled the location while she turned faced away from her. Pricilla said she did "not" want to pursue any criminal charges against Bertha, but requested they exchange information instead. Sergeant Trader had detained Bertha because she had 2 warrants for her arrest. To confirm the identity of driver of unit 2, 1 drove Pricilla to Sergeant Traders location. There, Pricilla identified Bertha as the other driver involved. See Sergeant Traders CAD notes for more information. Eventually, I dropped Pricilla back her vehicle and provided her with my case number and contact information. I went and spoke with Bertha. She explained she was traveling southbound on Williams Ave S approaching the area where Unit 1 was located. Bertha stated she was intending to continue straight on Williams Ave S. Bertha stated that upon reaching the intersecting area, Unit 1 failed to yield to her vehicle at the intersection. Bertha said Pricilla drove into the side of her vehicle causing significant damage to the passenger side of Unit 2. Sergeant Trader said Bertha admitted she fled because she had warrants for her arrest. I provided Bertha my contact information and case number. Based on the initial statements, 1 believed Pricilla was the proximate cause for the cause of collision as I believed that Pricilla did not grant the right of way to traffic already in the roadway and underway. Later, Pricilla called me and wanted to clarify that she was already in the roadway when the collision occurred. She believed Bertha was on her phone and not paying attention.
