The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"both on the front, back, and
department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro
badge on my left chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a
Police Officer.
On 4/17/2025 at 1533 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run report for a collision that occurred in
the Fred Meyer parking lot located at 17801 108th Ave SE on 04/15/2025.
1 contacted the reporting party by phone who was identified as Carol Garcia (DOB: 04/26/1958).
Garcia stated that she parked her black 2003 Toyota Tacoma (WA LP: C56163Y) at Fred Meyer where
she works on 04/15/2025 at around 0800 hours. Garcia stated that when she returned to her vehicle
at around 1700 hours, she noticed that there was damage to her rear passenger side bumper, and
rear passenger side taillight. Garcia stated that there is gray paint transfer from the suspect vehicle.
Garcia did not provide any description as she was not present when the collision took place.
At this time there are no suspects in this case.
