EF71817 CASE# 25-2026 OF COLLISION 03/04/25 13:07 OF CbLLI510N NARRATIVE Case Number 25-2026 On 03/04/2025 at approximately 1310 hours, I was dispatched to 700 Talbot Rd S within the City of Renton, King County, Washington to a non-injury accident. Dispatch relayed over the radio that a passerby reported two vehicles colliding and blocking a southbound lane on Talbot Rd S. The reporting party described the vehicles as a green older sedan and a silver sedan. On arrival I located both vehicles at the 700 block of Talbot Rd S facing south. Unit 1 was identified as a gray 2014 silver Ford Focus WA/LIC CLX9816 VIN# 1 FADP3F27EL286254 and unit 2 was identified as a 1997 green Subaru Impreza WA/LIC CBL9508 VIN# JF1GF4858VH805781. Unit 1 was parked on the sidewalk and had major damage to the front left side of the vehicle. Unit 2 was parked on the road closest lane to the curb and had minor damage to the front right side of his vehicle. I approached both drivers and asked them if they had any injuries and they both said no. I contacted the driver of unit 1 who was identified by her WADOL as Yorgeliz C Barboza DOB (03/16/2001). Yorgeliz provided me with her WADL and her registration but informed me that she didn't have any proof of insurance on her. Yorgeliz said she did have insurance but that her card was left at home. Yorgeliz stated that she was traveling eastbound on S Grady Way and approached the intersection at Talbot Rd S and S Grady Way. Yorgeliz was driving behind unit 2 and they both made a right turn to go south on Talbot Rd S and continued going southbound until unit 2 attempted to merge to the right lane and collided with her vehicle. Both vehicles then stopped at the location and waited for police to arrive. Yorgeliz was not injured by the accident. I contacted the driver of unit 2 who was identified by his WADOL as John Frederick Erskine DOB (01/28/1962) and he provided me with his WADL, registration and proof of insurance. John was not injured and stated that he was in front of unit 1 and driving eastbound on S Grady Way, making a right turn at the intersection of S Grady Way and Talbot Rd S. John merged onto the left lane due to the right lane leading to the parking lot of Triton Towers. As John continued driving south on Talbot Rd S he noticed that unit 1 was trying to merge onto his lane and collided with his vehicle. John then parked his vehicle and waited for police to arrive. Based on the damages on both vehicles and the residue left on the street I identified unit 1 as the at fault driver for improperly changing lanes. I gave both driver my business card with the case number and unit 2 left the location. Unit 1 moved her vehicle to the parking lot of Triton Tower 2 and awaited a friend to come and pick her and her vehicle up. Unit 1 was informed that she was the at fault driver but was not cited. I told Yorgeliz that she needed to email me a picture of her insurance by the end of the day or else she would receive a citation in the mail for not having insurance and she said OK. Once both vehicles were off the road I cleared the scene. This concludes my involvement with this case.
