On 04/23/2025 at approximately 2146 hours, I was working as a Police Officer for the City of Renton. While
working I was dispatched to a hit and run collision at the intersection of Union Ave NE and NE 4th ST, located
in the City of Renton, King County, Washington.
The notes of the call stated that the reporting party had been hit by an unknown make/model white sedan.
The sedan was last seen westbound on NE 4th ST.
I arrived on scene and met with the victim, identified as Derrick T. Hall (DOB: 02/25/1977). Derrick reported
that he was driving north on Union Ave NE in the northbound lane crossing through a green light at the
intersection of NE 4th ST/Union Ave NE. While crossing through the intersection Derrick observed a white
sedan driving westbound on NE 4th ST approaching a redlight in the#2 lane.The vehicle failed to stop for the
redlight and proceeded into the intersection. Derrick attempted to swerve out of the way, but the vehicle still
collided with his vehicle.The vehicle struck Derrick's front passenger door causing a large dent and scratches.
The vehicle then took off westbound on NE 4th ST.
Derrick reported that he was not injured from the collision. Derrick did not know the make or model of the
vehicle and he did not see the driver of the vehicle. Derrick would like to pursue charges for hit and run if the
driver of the vehicle can be identified.
There is no further information at this time.
