EF76743 CASE# 25-2591 O OF COLLISION TIME 03/21/25 20:10 NARRATIVE 25-2591 This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized. On 03-21-2025 1 was working as a police officer in a fully marked, department issued uniform, patrolling in a marked police vehicle for the city of Renton. At approximately 2107 hours I was dispatched to a recent hit and run at the intersection of 128th Ave SE/SE164th St, City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. I gathered from the call notes, the victim (Marc J. McArthur DOB 04-14-1974) was involved in a hit and run. Marc followed the suspect vehicle towards SE 4th St/Yakima PI SE and lost visual. The suspect vehicle should have had damage to the front driver side quarter panel. Marc was unable to see the driver of the vehicle but saw a passenger described as a white male in his 20's. I contacted Marc by phone, and he advised he was waiting for in person contact at 322 Yakima PI SE. I arrived on scene and observed a blue 2019 Toyota Highlander (license plate#BNK1 01 6/WA) with front passenger side damage. The front passenger side fender was completely ripped off of the frame exposing metal and wires. The front passenger headlight was also broken, and the front passenger side door had a long scratch from the side mirror to the door handle. The cost to repair the damage to the vehicle was well over the $1,000 threshold. I contacted Marc who exited the driver's seat, and he advised the following: Marc said the collision actually occurred just east of the intersection of 156th Ave SEISE 128th St. Marc was driving westbound in the number one lane on SE 128th St about fifty feet away from 156th Ave SE. Marc observed an unlicensed grey Jeep Cherokee parked across both eastbound lanes of SE 128th St that faced south directly in front of him. Marc drove into the number one lane of eastbound oncoming traffic to avoid the Jeep. As Marc passed the Jeep, the Jeep drove eastbound towards 158th Ave SE and collided with the front passenger side of Marc's vehicle. Marc attempted to follow the vehicle, but ultimately lost the vehicle in the neighborhood of SE 4th St/Yakima PI SE. Marc advised that he had no injuries sustained from the collision. Marc advised that he was unable to see the driver of the Jeep but described the passenger of the vehicle as a white male who wore a grey hoodie. Marc said that the Jeep had blue LED lights on the side of the vehicle. Marc advised that he wanted to be a victim if a suspect is identified. If a suspect is identified, I have probable cause to believe that they have committed the crime of Hit and Run Attended (RCW 46.52.020), by colliding with a vehicle attended by Marc and failed to provide their name, address, insurance company, insurance policy number, and vehicle license number, and vehicle driver's license. I gathered Marc's information, but Marc was unable to provide current insurance for the vehicle. I provided Marc my card with the case number and advised Marc to send me an email when he finds the current insurance information. took photos of the vehicle and uploaded them to evidence.com.
