EF77008 CASE# 25-2625 OF DATE AND r�N + 03/23/25 12:08 O�COLLISION NARRATIVE 25-2625 On 03/23/2025 at approximately 1208 hours, 1, Officer Lantagne, responded to a non-blocking, injury collision which occurred in the 600 block of Benson RD S, which is located in the City of Renton, County of King, and the State of Washington. I was in my fully marked police vehicle, wearing my patrol uniform and body worn camera. I observed Unit#1, a 2014 Toyota Rav-4 with license plates AQU6015 issued out of Washington State, and Unit#2, a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu with license plates CFW4973 issued out of Washington State, parked in the Divine Suites parking lot to the north of the intersection. I contacted the driver of Unit #1, Loan Y. Le (DOB 10/08/1962), who told me the following: Le was driving northbound on Benson RD S. As Le was driving past the Renton Police Department, Unit#2 began braking in front of her. Le was not able to stop her vehicle in time and the front of her vehicle collided with the rear bumper of Unit#2. After the initial collision, Le became shook up and accidentally hit the accelerator pedal instead of the brakes and hit Unit#2 a second time. Unit#2 stopped in front of her on the roadway and Le attempted to drive around the vehicle. As Le was driving around the right side of Unit#2, the left front bumper of her vehicle scraped against the right rear quarter panel of Unit#2. 1 contacted the driver of Unit#2, James S. Randolph (DOB 09/04/1963), who told me the following: Randolph was driving northbound on Benson RD S. As Randolph's vehicle was approaching the intersection at S Grady Way, he began to brake to slow down, and the rear of his vehicle was struck by Unit#1. Randolph felt his vehicle get hit a second time by Unit #1. Unit#1 attempted to drive around Randolph's vehicle and collided with it a third time. Randolph was experiencing back pain but refused a medical evaluation from the fire department. I observed the damage to the vehicles and other physical evidence was consistent with the statements made by both parties. Unit#1 had significant damage to the front bumper which was dented in and cracked on the driver's side. The rear bumper and right rear quarter panel of Unit#2 was scraped and severely dented. The collision diagram is an accurate illustration of the events leading up to the collision. I provided an exchange of information to Le and Randolph. I issued Le a citation for following too closely to be issued through the court by mail. I, Officer P.
