CITY OF RENTON
REQUEST FOR STATEMENT QUALIFICATIONS
NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS FOR
COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY ACTION PLAN PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
The City of Renton (City), in accordance with Policy & Procedure No. 250‐02, is soliciting statements of
qualifications (SOQ) from firms with expertise in developing transportation safety plans specifically related to
the national Safe Streets 4 All program for the development of the City’s Comprehensive Safety Action Plan.
Interested consultant must have offices located in the State of Washington and licensed to do business in the
State of Washington. Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) must be submitted as outlined below.
Project Description
The comprehensive safety action plan seeks to lay the foundation for the city’s effort of improving roadway
multimodal safety, specifically working toward reducing fatalities and serious injuries due to crashes. To achieve
this the city desires conducting the following tasks to complete a safety action plan that amounts to a meaningful
plan and fulfils federal grant criteria.
Scope of Work
Under the direction of the City’s Project Manager, the selected consultant will be asked to conduct the following
tasks:
•Data Collection and Analysis of the Road Network
•Existing Policy and Safety Program Review
•Community Analysis & Focused Engagement
•Community Outreach – Task Force or Work Group
•Policy Development and Action Plan Initiatives
•Scoping and Development of Prioritized Safety Projects and Program Initiatives
•Council Report‐outs and Plan Adoption
Submittal

page, https://rentonwa.gov/bids/. This link will direct you to the City Clerk’s “Call for Bids, Proposals,
Qualifications” page. Under the “Request for Qualifications” section, select

date and time.
