SUMMARY OF BIDDER INQUIRIES No. 1 TO No. 11

The responses to bidder inquiries, unless incorporated into a formal addendum to
the contract, are not part of the contract and are provided for the bidders’ convenience only.
The responses may be considered along with all other information furnished to prospective
bidders for the purpose of bidding on the project. The use of information provided in the
responses to bidder inquiries is not to be construed in any way as a waiver of the provisions
nor excuse the contractor from full compliance with the contract requirements. Bidders are
cautioned that subsequent responses or contract addenda may affect or vary a response
previously given and any such subsequent response or addenda should be taken into
consideration when submitting a bid for the project.
Bidder Inquiry No. 1
Would it be possible to postpone this bid, now due at 2:00PM on May 6, for one week?
It would be helpful to have more time for solicitation of quotes, as well as an extension of
the question due date, which is now the same day as the pre-bid.

There will be no adjustments made to the current bid schedule. All bids are due by
May 6, 2025 before 2:00PM.
Bidder Inquiry No. 2
I would like to confirm that a new service cabinet is required for the new services and
the existing service cabinet to be demolished.

The existing service cabinet is required to be demolished. A new service cabinet will
be required with the existing conduits shortened to be routed into the new cabinet.
Bidder Inquiry No. 3
I would like to confirm the project start dates.

The anticipated project NTP is June 16, 2025. The anticipated Contractor mobilization
on-site is June 30, 2025. All other relevant project dates can be found in the Contract
documents.

Bidder Inquiry No. 4
I would like to confirm if there are any schedule or project stipulations for items
requiring long lead times such as the Futsal Court lights.
City of Renton Response to Bidder Inquiry No. 4
No stipulations are currently outlined in this contract for any element of the project
requiring long lead times.
Bidder Inquiry No. 5
I would like to confirm that the junction box located in the place of the future stage is
part of Phase 1.

The junction box is required as part of Phase 1. All other construction activities
related to the stage will be executed in future phases and is not included as part of this
contract.
Bidder Inquiry No. 6
I would like to confirm if the conduit and wiring required for the Receptacle Bollards
is part of the electrical improvements as this is not currently shown on the Contract
Drawings.

Yes, conduit and wiring for the Receptacle Bollards are required and should be
included in the project bid.
Bidder Inquiry No. 7
I would like to confirm Wire Note #6 on the Contract Drawings indicating conduit and
wiring needed for future irrigation improvements should be completed as part of the
electrical improvements.

Yes, all conduit and wiring required for irrigation improvements are anticipated to be
included as part of the electrical improvements.
Bidder Inquiry No. 8
I would like to confirm relocation of the Pedestrian poles in Gateway Park (Ped1 –
Ped6) will require new foundations and any other specific detailing for that work.

All relocated Pedestrian Luminaire poles will require a new foundation. New
foundations for relocated poles must match the existing anchor bolt pattern.
Bidder Inquiry No. 9
I have installed the stairwell lighting fixtures before. The strip lighting for the concrete
benches can be challenging to install and getting them to adhere properly can be tricky. Do
you plan on having specific installation requirements or conform to the Manufacturer’s
requirements/recommendations?

The primary path would be for all lighting fixtures to be installed per manufacturer’s
requirements and/or recommendations.
Bidder Inquiry No. 10
I would like to confirm the existing junction box located in the southeast corner of the
project site, northwest corner of S 3rd St/ Logan Ave S, is the primary path for power to the
site. Does the project include refeeding the existing pedestrian lights/poles on S 3rd St?

The existing junction box is the primary path for power to the site. The project requires
only one existing pedestrian pole to be refed with a new 2” conduit as shown on the Contract
Drawings.

I would like to confirm if existing outlets located on the ground around the existing
Pedestrian Luminaire poles in Gateway Park are required to be demolished.

Yes, all existing outdoor GFCI outlets impacted by project improvements will need to
be demolished.
