EF81601 CASE# 25-3142 OF DATE AND r�N + 04/07/25 21:44 O�COLLISION NARRATIVE 25-3142 Unless otherwise stated, the following occurred in the City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. On 04/07/2025 at approximately 2147 hours, I was dispatched to a two-vehicle non injury collision blocking in the 10300 block of SE Carr RD. Upon arrival, I contacted the involved parties and determined that the driver of Unit#1 was complaining of abdominal pain and the driver of Unit#2 was complaining of lower back pain. The Renton Regional Fire Authority (RRFA) later arrived on scene and treated the involved drivers. RRFA released all involved parties at the scene. While on scene, I collected the involved parties driving documents and their independent recollection of events leading up to the collision. The driver of Unit#1 said she was the sole occupant of her vehicle and was traveling westbound in about the 10300 block of SE Carr RD. The driver of Unit#1 stated she was traveling directly behind Unit#2 when she noticed Unit#2 stopped suddenly. The driver of Unit#1 stated that she simply was unable to stop in time and subsequently collided with the rear of Unit#2 causing moderate damage to the front of Unit#1. The driver of Unit#2 said she was the sole occupant of her vehicle and was also traveling westbound in about the 10300 block of SE Carr RD. The driver of Unit#2 said a vehicle stopped quickly in front of her causing her to brake suddenly. That is when the driver of Unit #1 failed to stop in time and rear- ended Unit#2, causing minor damage to the rear of Unit#2. Based on the above statements, I determined that the Driver of Unit #1 is the proximate cause for the collision due to her not being able to stop in time and rear-ending Unit#2. Due to the rainy weather conditions and both parties saying they attempted to stop their vehicles abruptly, I am not citing either party. Gene Meyer towing arrived and collected Unit #1. Gene Meyer towing and the driver of Unit#1 are working together directly; therefore, I did not complete a tow form. All parties involved exchanged information.
