This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that
occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 4/30/2025 at approximately 1911 hours I was dispatched to a non-injury hit and run which had
occurred at SE Petrovitsky Rd and 128th Ave SE, City of Renton, County of King,Washington. Dispatch
advised the reporting party, Edith L. Cason (10/25/1956), had been involved in a collision about 10
minutes prior with a Red GMC SUV which fled the scene of the collision.
Cason provided a plate of WA/CPA2548 on the suspect vehicle. However,the plate returned to a 2022
Ford Mustang.
I area checked for a Red GMC bearing the plate listed above but did not locate it.
Officer Mollenberg contacted Cason who informed him of the following:
Cason was traveling eastbound on SE Petrovitsky Rd in a blue 2015 Volvo S60 bearing WA/BYU0901 (Unit
2) in lane 2 of 2.The red GMC SUV bearing WA/CPA2548 (Unit 1)was also traveling eastbound on SE
Petrovitsky Rd in lane 1 of 2. Unit#1 signaled to merge right into lane 2 of 2.The driver of Unit#2(Cason)
saw Unit#1 merging and applied the brakes to avoid a collision. Unit#1 proceeded to merge and collided
with the front driver's side quarter panel of Unit#2. Both Unit#1 and Unit#2 turned left to travel
northbound on 128th Ave SE. Unit#2 pulled over in the 17200 block of 128th Ave SE and Unit#1
continued northbound until it was out of sight.A few moments later Unit#1 passed Unit#2 traveling
southbound on 128th Ave SE turning westbound onto SE Petrovitsky Rd.
Cason stated she believed the driver of Unit#2 was an Asian female.
I checked Flock traffic cameras to see if any vehicles matching the description of Unit#2 had been
picked up. I did not find any in the time frame of the collision.
There was minimal damage to Unit#2 which was photographed and uploaded to AXON.
Cason was provided a case number for the incident.
There is no suspect information at this time.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
