HomeMy WebLinkAboutAddendum - 3AMENDMENT NO. 3 TO AGREEMENT FOR CAG-23-206 THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes only as April 24, 2025, is by and between the City of Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, and AHBL, Inc (“Consultant”), a Washington Corporation. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties. Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-23-206, dated December 22, 2022, to provide necessary services for the Gateway Planting Design (referred to herein as the “Agreement”); Whereas, the Parties amended the Agreement under Amendment No. 2, (CAG-23-206, Adden #2-24), dated February 23, 2024. The Parties amended the Agreement under Amendment No. 1, (CAG-23-206, Adden #1-24), dated February 23, 2024. Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work, change the time for performance, and change the compensation in order to ensure complete project closeout for the Renton Gateway Planting Design Project. NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-23-206 is amended as follows: 1. Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit A-3, which is attached and incorporated herein. 2.Time of Performance:Section 3, Time of Performance, is amended pursuant to the schedule(s) set forth in Exhibit A-3. All Work shall be performed by no later than December 31, 2025. 3. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $10,200 from $54,710 to $64,510, plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in Exhibit A-3 which is attached and incorporated herein. 4.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if fully set forth herein. Review additional WSDOT plans to incorporate additional elements into roundabouts signage and electrical junction boxes. 2. Revise 90% CDs for planting and irrigation portions of the project. Provide materials, layout, and finish grade information on plans. Provide construction details for site elements. 3. Incorporate feedback on plans and plant list based on 90% Design review and prepare 100% CD/Bid documents plans and specifications. 4. Additional coordination time to accommodate signage in the roundabouts City of Renton and WSDOT signs. 5. Continue coordination with project team members and the owner regarding planting requirements and signage/artwork foundation design for the project. 6. Incorporate owner feedback and finalize. 7. Prepare three-part CSI format specifications. 8. Provide a cost estimate for the related scope of work. 9. The following deliverables will be produced for the following combined submittal: 100% CD, Bid Set: Planting Soil Preparation Plan(s). Materials and Layout Plan(s). Site Details. Revised Construction Phase Services Task 61 Note:This task revises/replaces Task 43 - Construction Phase Services in the original Scope of Work dated November 18, 2022. The original Task 43 estimate was $6,000. This is increased by $1,900 for this new Task 61, for a total of $7,900. 10. Assist the owner and the architect with answering bidders' questions for clarification and assist in the preparation of bid addenda. This task allows 8 hours. 11. Respond to contractor-initiated questions (RFIs) during construction as they relate to the design. 12. We will review the sign shop drawings and report findings to the project team. 13. Review planting and irrigation-related product submittals and shop drawings and report findings to the project team. 14. This task allows for a total of four site visits: a. Two site inspections (including site observations with report) during construction to ensure the intent of the design is being met, including planting soil preparation, planting material inspection and layout, mainline pressure test, and irrigation coverage test. b. Two site visits post construction (one punchlist visit and one follow-up/back-punch visit). 15. Prepare final letter of substantial project conformance/completion. This scope of work will be billed on a time and expense basis, with an estimate provided below.
