Statements have been paraphrased and summarized On 05/01/2025 at approximately 1752 hours, myself, Officer R. Watson, was dispatched to an Accident with Injuries, at the intersection of Logan AVE N and Airport Way, within the City Limits of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. Dispatch advised that two vehicles were involved in a collision and two people in the Acura were reporting injuries. I arrived on scene and noticed two vehicles had appeared to be involved in a collision on Airport Way in the number three lane, facing eastbound. When asked if anyone was injured, both parties stated they were not. After identifying that the vehicles could be moved safely off the roadway, both drivers moved their vehicles to Logan AVE S and S Tillicum ST. Unit#1, driven by Cashous S. Keowongphet (DOB 05/06/2001), later identified by WADOL photo, was driving a 1997 Red Honda Civic, WA plate # CFY3443. Cashous stated that he was traveling east bound on Airport Way, when the driver of Unit#2 applied his brakes and after applying his own brakes, ended up skidding into Unit#2. When I asked Cashous for his documents, he provided his WA license and expired registration (03/20/2024). Cashous stated that he did not have insurance on the vehicle, nor has he transferred the title to his name because he had recently bought the vehicle from a friend. Cashous provided me with his phone number for the exchange of information. Unit#1 had significant front-end damage and was unable to be safely driven from the scene. Cashous parked Unit#1 in a parking lot nearby to coordinate for a private tow. Unit#2 driven by Kevin M. Lee (DOB 03/23/1966), later identified by WADOL photo, was driving a 2007 White Acura TL, WA plate #BNW0536. Kevin stated that he was traveling east bound on Airport Way, and when he went to stop for the traffic ahead of him, Unit#1 collided with the back of Unit#2. Kevin was able to provide all documentation for his vehicle and provided a phone number for the information exchange. Unit#2 had medium damage to the rear of his vehicle, but it was able to be driven in a safe manner from the scene. An exchange of information was given to both parties involved, and a citation was issued to Cashous for driving without insurance, citation #5A0437540.
