THE CONTRACT IS MODIFIED AS FOLLOWS:
Description of Change:
The City of Renton directed the Contractor to install approximately 17 linear feet of cured-in-place
pipe {CIPP) between proposed SSMH #4 and the existing SSMH 9782 (MH6688) at STA 21+12 LT.
Proposal Schedule of Prices:
ADD the following to Schedule C:
40-C25 -Furnish and Install 6 In. Diam. CIPP for Sanitary Sewer, 1 LS@ $5,600.00 = $5,600.00

Description:

Materials:

Measurement:
ADD the following to 7-21.4:
No specific unit of measurement shall ap ply to the lump sum item of "Furnish and Install
6 In. Diam. CIPP for Sanitary Sewer."
Payment:
ADD the following to 7-21.5:
"Furnish and Install 6 In. Diam. CIPP for Sanitary Sewer," lump sum.
Plans:

Reason for Change:
This Change is required because the proposed sewer system was changed when Autozone
was constructed. Instead of removing and replacing all of the vitrified clay pipe from the
west side of the Autozone parcel to the existing manhole in Rainier Ave., a new manhole
was installed behind the sidewalk. This resulted in some existing 6" VCP being left in place.
The JUT installed as part of the Rainier Ave. project was later installed over top of this
existing sewer pipe. After hearing how difficult any future maintenance would be due to the
positioning of the JUT, the sewer department requested that this sewer pipe be lined.

WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications. See attached.

40-C25 - Furnish and Install 6 In. Diam. CIPP for Sanitary Sewer
An independent estimate was prepared for the cost of installing 17 LF of 6 In. Diam CIPP
for sanitary sewer. This cost was calculated to be $6,720.00. The Contractor's quote of
$5,600.00 is accepted.
Extension of Time: The Time for Completion is extended _Q__ Working Days.
Affects DBE Work:
No.
Sections 1-04.4 and 1-04.5 of the 2022 WSDOT/APWA Standard Specifications shall govern
this Change Order. The Work of the referenced Contract is modified to include the changes
detailed herein. The payment provided for herein shall constitute the complete and final
settlement for all costs of labor, equipment, materials, overhead, profit, permit fees, and all
other claims that may be made by the Contractor because of this change.

The following is documentation of on oral order given by the Engineer per WSDOT Specification 1-04.4.
The Contractor shall install Cured In Place Pipe lining between the existing ond proposed monholes ot STA 21-t-11 LT. The City of Renton sewer deportment
will perform the initial clearing and television inspection of this line.
A Change Order will be prepared for this work based on the proposed cost in the email sent on October 24th. 2023 related to this topic.
