Officer Narrative
Narrative
On 05-01-2025 at 1602 hours I was dispatched to a two vehicle accident in the 4100 block of Oaksdale Ave SW
in the city of Renton, King County WA. I arrived on scene and observed driver's side damage to a Toyota
Corolla and front end damage to the Mazda CX 5. 1 contacted the driver of the Corolla, unit 1, Mustapha Said.
Mustapha told me the following:
Mustapha was at the 7-11 located at 1200 SW 43rd ST. He drove to the end of the parking lot where there is
an exit onto Oaksdale Ave SW. He was attempting to turn northbound.A vehicle stopped for him in the closest
to the curb lane. Mustapha didn't see unit 2 in the next lane and attempted the turn. Unit 2 crashed into the
side of unit 1.
I spoke with the driver of unit 2,Jordan Hartman who told me the following:
Hartman was driving southbound in the furthest from the curb lane. He saw unit 1 exit the 7-11 parking lot
without stopping. Unit 1 pulled out in front of unit 2 and was struck.
Based on the information above and the damage done to the vehicles the collision was caused by Mustapha
making an unsafe turn and not yielding to on coming traffic. Both drivers were given the other driver's
information. Both drivers took photos of the damage. Hartman stated his vehicle has a dash camera that
should have captured the crash.They were both given the case number.
