The following occurred in the City of Renton, King County, Washington unless otherwise stated.
During this incident 1 was equipped with body-worn camera which records both audio and video.
Portions of the incident were recorded. This report is merely a summary of the incident and is not
intended to be an exact transcription of the entire investigation or what may have been captured
with the recording system. During this incident I was wearing a department issued uniform or jump
suit and outer carrier vest which was marked with "Police"both on the front, back, and
department patches on each shoulder of the uniform or jumpsuit, as well as a Renton Police Velcro
badge on my►eft chest. It would be immediately obvious to any reasonable person that I was a
Police Officer.
On 5/7/2025 at 1112 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run report that occurred at the Fred Meyer
located at 365 Renton Center Way on 04/19/2025 at around 1100 hours.
I spoke to the victim, identified as Jose M. A. Almario (DOB: 05/28/1969), who stated that he parked
his 2016 Toyota Scion (WA LP: CAZ8879) at the Fred Meyer on 04/19/2025 at around 1100 hours.
Upon his return to his vehicle, Almario stated that he noticed damage to his rear drivers side bumper.
Almario stated that he did not have a vehicle description of the other vehicle involved. Almario also
stated that he believes that it could have been a shopping cart that damaged his vehicle, however
this was based upon speculation.
Almario stated that he does not wish to pursue charges against the other involved driver, and only
wishes to make a Police report for insurance purposes.
I sent Almario a link to upload photos of the damage to evidence.com.
