Unless otherwise noted,the following occurred within the city limits of Renton, county of King, state of
Washington.
On 05/05/2025, 1 was working as a uniformed police officer for the city of Renton.At approximately 2030
hours, I was dispatched to handle a hit-and-run accident report by phone.
Prior to contacting the reporting party, I learned that the collision reportedly occurred in the parking lot at
Baskin Robbins, 520 Rainier Ave S.
I called the reporting party,verbally identified as Reilee H Ireland (08/25/1993), and learned the following
information:
She drove her blue 2022 Ford Maverick to the business listed above. When she exited, she was flagged
down by a man who stated he saw her vehicle get struck while she was inside.The witness watched as
a black sedan struck her vehicle and continue without stopping. Reilee observed the damage and
confirmed that it was not on her vehicle when she arrived at the business.
I requested Reilee send me photos of the vehicles' damages, as well as an image(s) of the suspect vehicle.
However, as of the time of this narrative, I have not received any photos from her, leaving me with very little
information about the collision.
I reached out to the witness phone number she provided me.There, I spoke with Sean R Lamothe
(10/22/1986),who added the information summarized below:
He heard the collision take place in the parking lot. He glanced over and saw the suspect vehicle, a
black Chevrolet sedan, continue through the parking lot, and then exit northbound on Rainier Ave S.
At no time did the driver, nor any of the other occupants, attempt to stop and provide Reilee or her
vehicle with any of the necessary information as outlined in RCW 46.52.010. He was able to get a
photo of the vehicle as it fled, but neither he, nor the photo, are able to provide a read on the license
plate.
I had Sean send me the photo. I observed what appeared to be a black Chevrolet sedan, possibly a Chevrolet
Cruze.The vehicle has what looks to be a standard-issued Washington license plate affixed to the rear.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
