The actual amount will be determined by quantities installed for the unit price items. FWD No 21 was issued on 6/28/22 directing the Contractor to perform additional work to include installation of the fire hydrant on the SW corner of NE 10th Street, rather than on the NW corner. The added work includes a longer fire hydrant stub, additional pavement removals, removal and capping of an existing abandoned water line, an added modular block wall and additional survey. The Engineer's Estimate for FWD No 21 is +$9,721 including sales tax, which assumed the construction of reinforced concrete walls at unit prices. It was later determined that a modular block wall would be a better choice within the tight space and it was also confirmed that removal and replacement of a fence section may be required. The•Contractor provided a quote on 7/22/22 for the revised work that increased the price to $13,507.28. This quote was reviewed and agreed to by the City. The City is reviewing it as well. The City would like to use existing bid items where possible for this work, so those are shown in the draft change order and in the equitable adjustment. Several bid items have sufficient quantities that no additions are required to the Proposal Quantity,so those are shown in red on the Equitable Adjustment, and they will not appear as an "additions"on the change order. We have added some language in the change order that a road closure of NE 10th and Duvall will be allowed to expedite the work. This assumes that Reed submits a TCP with a detour and signage that would be acceptable to the City, per our last weekly meeting.
