DISCUSSION OF PROJECT
The site is a 15,681 square foot lot located at 2811 NE 13th St.,in Renton,Wa.The only housing
unit on the property is a duplex near NE 13th St.that appears to have been built in the 1950's.
Plans call for the existing structure and other sheds on the property to be demolished and
replaced with five new townhomes.A driveable alley will be built near the east property line to
provide access to the garage that will be attached to each unit.Apedestrian sidewalk will be
built on the west side of the lot to provide access to the units.
TREES ON SITE
There are 16 significant trees on the site,as defined by Renton city code as 6"and greater DBH
for most conifer and deciduous trees,and 8"and greater for the native Red Alder and Black
Cottonwood trees.At some time in the past,another consulting arborist or surveyor created an
inventory of the line of Douglas Fir trees along the south property fence.All but two of the
significant trees on the south property line were marked with a numbered aluminum tag,and
tag #402 was placed on a dead snag.Tree #414 grows near the southeast corner of the site,but
has no tag.
The following tree tables describe all 16 trees by number,common and botanical names,DBH,
Drip Line Radius,(also known as Critical Root Zone,CRZ),general condition,and probable future
status after completion of the project.When there are multiple trees of the same genus and
species,the Latin names are shown only once.The tagged trees begin at the east end of the
stand.Trees #411,#412,and #413,#415,#416,that grow elsewhere on the site,are not tagged.
