GOODRICK COMPANY SPEC REF 7-05 Products and Services for Construction and Industry January3,2022 RE: City of Renton—Duvall Ave. (Contract CAG 20-065);Zurn Trench Drain(RAM #030) To Whom it May Concern: We received notice that our Zurn trench drain for Duvall Avenue in Renton was conditionally approved.Three items needed to be addressed: Knockout—We are proposing 4"bottom outlets for ease of installation(as opposed to 4"end outlets). A data sheet for the 4"no-hub bottom outlet is attached.Zurn does not manufacture 5" outlets. It is recommended that the contractor utilize a Fernco(or equal)coupler to connect the 4"outlet pipe to desired dimension pipe out. Grates—The grates for the conditionally approved Z-882 trench drain are 24"in length, and have four locking devices per grate to prevent from for __. a aces. A data sheet for the proposed trench drain grate is also attached: Concrete Class 4000 Concrete Encasement Zurn recommends at least 4"of 3,900-psi-eonerete around all sides of the trench drain.
