Officer Narrative
Narrative

Unless otherwise noted, the following occurred within the city limits of Renton, county of King, state of
Washington.
On 05/12/2025, 1 was working as a uniformed police officer for the city of Renton. At approximately 0317
hours, I was dispatched to the 3000 block of NE 4th St for reports of an accident with unknown injuries.
Portions of my involvement in the incident were captured on my department-issued bodycam.
While enroute, I learned that the police were dispatched by an automatic crash notification.Attempts to
contact the driver tied to the notification were unsuccessful. The account for the notification provided a
vehicle description of a 2010 Toyota Camry bearing WA lic/CNL3215.The vehicle was registered to Sadou
Diallo (03/21/1994—WA DOL photo).
When I arrived on scene, I located Sadou and his vehicle just north of the intersection at NE 3rd St and
Jefferson Ave NE, only mere feet from the dispatched address. I observed the vehicle had heavy damage to its
front driver's side, as well as the rear passenger side and bumper.
I approached Sadou to try and understand what happened. I quickly learned however, that he primarily speaks
French, so I utilized a translator from Language Line Solutions.Through interpretation, I learned the following:
He was out at this time of night to complete food deliveries using a food delivery service app on his
phone. He was on his way to his home in Sea-Tac,WA,from his most recent delivery. He decided to go
home at this point because he had become very tired. He does not remember the immediate moment
leading up to the collision. He just remembered waking up after his vehicle had hopped up on the curb
on the north side of NE 4th St,just before the intersection of NE 3rd St and Jefferson Ave NE. He lost
control of his vehicle until it came to a stop where I located it upon my initial arrival.
I did not observe any indications from Sadou's behavior, nor anything in his vehicle that would have led me to
believe that he was under the influence of an intoxicant. I captured photos of the vehicle and its damages,
which were later uploaded to evidence.com.The vehicle was unable to move on its own after the collision, so
a tow truck from Gene Meyer arrived and towed the vehicle to Sadou's residence, per his request.
I observed tire tracks in the dew-covered grass that were consistent with the direction of travel of his vehicle
during the collision. Further, Officer Kwake advised me that a left chevron road sign had been damaged and

removed from its intended position.Though there is no concrete proof the damage came from Sadou's
vehicle, it is reasonable to believe that it was likely the cause of it. Information discovered from a sticker on
the back of the sign provided the following information:
The City of Renton owns the sign. The sign is stamped in a series of numbers and letters that would
read "10 D 3 7 0 5."
Due to the fact that the sign was discovered to be city property, I completed an Orgami form to document the
damages.
Nothing further at this time.
I certify(declare) under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of Washington that the foregoing is true
and correct.
