Officer Narrative
Narrative
On 05/10/2025, at approximately 1449 hours,while employed as a uniformed Patrol Officer for the City of
Renton, I was dispatched to a hit and run at Logan Ave S and N 3rd St,within the City of Renton, County
of King,State of Washington.
The hit and run occurred at Logan Ave N and N 4th St.
The Driver of Unit 1 is an unknown suspect who was described as a black male with a long afro.The
vehicle associated with unit 2 was described as a dark colored Ford Escape/Explorer.
The Driver of Unit 2 is Saeteurn, Shai F(DOB 04-04-1981), confirmed by his WA DOL photo. Unit 2 was
driving a 2021 gray Toyota Highlander with license plate CHN1397.
1 arrived on the scene and spoke with Unit 2.
Unit 2 stated that he was traveling southbound on Logan Ave N in lane 2, crossing N 4th St,when he
slowed down due to other vehicles stopping. Unit 2 was then struck in the rear of the vehicle by Unit 1.
Unit 1 then got into lane 1 and drove to the passenger window of Unit 2 and asked if he was okay. Unit 1
then assumed that Unit 1 was going to pull over,which he did not, and continued driving southbound on
Logan Ave N.
There is a significant amount of damage to the front bumper of Unit 1. Unit 2 has minimal damage to the
rear of the vehicle.
Unit 2 stated that he was not injured and did not need medical attention.
Unit 1 is the proximate cause of this collision.
Unit 2 stated that he could possibly(50%) identify the driver.
There was minimal damage to the Unit 2 vehicle.
