On 05/12/2025 at approximately 1302 hours, I was dispatched to 12325 SE Petrovitsky RD within the City of
Renton, King County, Washington to a non-injury hit and run collision. Dispatch relayed over the radio that 5
ago a vehicle hit the reporting party's vehicle and drove away without attempting to exchange information.
The reporting party followed the suspect and ended up at the above location. Unit 1 was identified as a white
2005 Honda Civic WA/LIC CJC2821 VIN#2HGES1559SH524441 and the registered owner was listed as Manuel
Santos Martin DOB (09/24/1989).
On arrival I contacted the reporting party who was identified by his WADOL as Maverick Ariel Velasquez
Romero DOB (10/28/1993). Maverick had his vehicle unit 2 identified as a white 2019 Kia Forte WA/LIC
CKX2107 VIN#3KPF24AD8KE022903 parked on the side of the road on Petrovtisky RD near the entrance to
the above location. I asked Maverick what happened, and he stated that he was parked in the parking lot of
17034 116th Ave SE and that unit 1 was parked next to him on the left side.The driver of unit 1 entered his
vehicle after buying a case of Modelo beer and drove forward to leave the parking lot but turned right into
Maverick's vehicle colliding with it and causing minor damage to the front left bumper. Maverick and the male
suspect exited their vehicles, and Maverick told the suspect that he was going to call the cops because he was
driving while intoxicated and hit his vehicle.The suspect then told Maverick to mind his business and got back
into the driver's side seat and drove away. Maverick decided to follow the suspect to the above location and
parked on the street because he didn't want to enter private property.The suspect was described as a
Hispanic male in his 30's with black hair and a black mustache, last seen wearing a blue and black plaided shirt.
Maverick is also able to identify the driver of unit 1 if he saw him again.
As I spoke with Maverick officers on scene attempted to contact the driver of unit 1 but no one answered the
door. I was unable to talk to the driver of unit 1 and provided Maverick with my business card with the case
number. I determined that the driver of unit 1 was the at fault driver on this call and due to his inattentive
driving, he drove into Maverick's vehicle and damaged his front bumper.
This concludes my involvement with this case.
