SUBJECT: KENNYDALE LAKELINE ASSESSMENT
LUA18-000277, ECF, SME
Dear Mr. Richards:
Thank you for your comments related to the Kennydale Lakeline Assessment project; dated April
28, 2018 wherein you requested clarification on the project location and more information on
the installation of the manholes. In addition, you’ve raised a concern that manholes would render
the affected residents’ moorages useless. Your comments will be added to the public record for
consideration by the reviewing official and you have been added as a party of record.
The project location is essentially the length of the sanitary sewer service line along Lake
Washington. The Kennydale Lakeline Sewer System runs from approximately 2725 Mountain
View Ave N to 3905 Lake Washington Blvd N (see also Land Use Public Notices Map on the City’s
website at https://www.rentonwa.gov/cms/one.aspx?portalId=7922741&pageId=9689817).
Two new manholes are proposed to be installed on the lake line sewer in front of 2905 Mountain
View Ave N and 3115 Mountain View Ave N. The two proposed manholes would be at low points
along the undulating sewer to facilitate solids removal. Their locations would facilitate cleaning
of a partial blockage believed to be impacting the southern portion of the pipe. The pr oposed
manholes would be buried below grade to comply with anticipated permit requirements.
Thank you for interest in this project and if you have any further questions please feel free to
contact me at 425-430-7289 or cclose@rentonwa.gov.
Sincerely,
