An example from the Japanese community, where the government has more of a parental role, it would be disrespectful to provide input and advice on matters such as the budget. There is deference to city officials and trust that decisions are made that will be best for the community.’ AG E N D A I T E M # 1 . a ) June Youth support for activities and success in school Equity Commissioner Question: Have you considered even younger ages in your upstream interventions? For every project and initiative underway, the staff behind them are passionate and dedicated to the city, which we plan to showcase more in the future. We will include the mayor in this plan! Concerned about the current inefficiency of public transportation for the current housing inventory, with more in the pipeline. Staff Response: There are efforts to tie housing initiatives with regional transportation planning, but the current [2024] state budget will likely have limited transit funding due to budget constraints.
