On May 13,2025, 1701 hours dispatch requested that I respond to a hit and run vehicle collision at the
intersection of SE Carr Rd and 106th Pt SE, in the city of Renton, county of King, and State of Washington.
Upon contact, I spoke with the driver of unit 2, a 2024 Honda CRV bearing Washington plates CK15774.
The driver was identified by his WADL as Brandon N.Thompson. He explained that earlier he was exiting
the Fred Meyer parking lot. He sat at a red traffic signal facing northbound on 106th PL SE and SE Carr Rd.
While waiting at the traffic signal, unit 1 struck his rear bumper.The driver of unit 1 signaled at Brandon to
move forward, so Brandon did as requested. Brandon believed the other driver wanted to move forward
so they could exchange information.As Brandon crossed the intersection, he noticed that unit 1 decided
to flee the scene. Unit 1 was last seen going westbound on SE Carr Rd at a high rate of speed and it
appeared that the vehicles hood sustained some damage.
Unit 1 was described as early model Ford Fusion.The vehicle was gray in color and the driver appeared to
be a middle eastern or black male.The driver was between the age of 20 to 35 and he possible wore a
grey sweater.
I asked Brandon if he wanted to press charges against the other driver and he said "no."
I checked the Renton City Flock Camera system, but I was unable to locate the vehicle involved.
At this time, I do not have any additional information so this case will be closed (RTF).
