Dear Ms. Kolder:
Thank you for your letter detailing the size of the Fry's store and your expected annual
sales. There appears, however, to be some con5usion about the type and amount of fees
that the City is willing to consider waiving. In July of 2001, I wrote a letter to Mr. Matt
Alexander and Mr. Lenard Sabatini that outlined the mitigation and connection fees that
Mayor Tanner was willing to ask the City Council to waive. The package that will go to
the City Council will include the following fees:
Fire Mitigation $78,824 00
Traffic Mitigation $90,693.75
Special Utility Connection Fee — Water $51,227.89
.Special Utility Connection Fee — Sewer $74,425.43
Total $295,171.07
Building and inspection fees that are not part of the package will have to be paid as they
are assessed. I expect that the City Council will take action on this proposal sometime in
late September or early October. We look forward to the grand opening of Fry's
Electronics next spring- your store will be a great addition to our community and we
appreciate your investment in Renton. If you have any questions about any issues, please
do not hesitate to call me at 425-430-6591.
Sincerely,
Susan Carlson
