Dear Lesley:
Thank you for forwarding the Letter of Determination of Non -Significance
(Mitigated) dated May 9, 2001 on the above project. In accordance with City of
Renton's Appeal process, we are hereby submitting an Appeal on Mitigation
Measures as items described in the letter. They are as follows:
1) Fire Mitigation Fee: We hereby appeal this fee which appears to be
unreasonable based upon our experience with similar projects to other
jurisdictions.
2) Traffic Mitigation Fee: We hereby appeal this fee which appears to be
unreasonable based upon our experience with similar projects in other
jurisdictions.
3) Installation of channelzation and traffic signal modifications: We hereby
appeal this requirement as the responsibility of the owner based upon our
experience with similar projects in other jurisdictions.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. it is our request that we be scheduled
for the first available meeting with the Hearing Examiner (June W, 2001), or earlier
if possible. We look forward to a speedy resolution to these issues.
