Garden Avenue worth at North 8ib Street C
We have reviewed the latest (April 9, 2001) site layout plan and other materials you recently
provided to Ryan Zulauf and have the following comments:
> It is our understanding that the 15-foot wide setback area adjacent to North 8m Street will
be dedicated to the City for future use by Sound Transit for the North 8" ! I-405 HOV
Direct AcczEs Interchange project. We suggest installation of erosion control treatment
or minimal low -maintenance landscaping in this area ur _il such time as it is needed for
the Sound Transit project.
It is anticipated that the existing sidewalk on the north side of North 8° Street abutting
the Fry Electronics site will be removed and not replaced in order to accommodate the
Sound Transit project The existing combined pedestrian- bicycle facility on the south
side will be maintained to provide east -west pedestrian access along this section of North
8" Street.
> The channelization and traffic signal modifications (and their cost) to implement the
westbound Park Drive to southbound Garden Avenue left -turn at the Park Drive/Lake
Washington Blvd. Garden Avenue North intersection will be the responsibility- of Fry
Electronics.
