Maintenance such as sealing cracks in the pavement will be performed annually.

• Maximum anticipated truck and automobile loads of type H2O (8 kips front axle and 32
w kips rear axle) and 2 kips per axle, respectively.
• Traffic flow of 25 trucks and 2,500 automobiles per week.

Pavement section design recommendations are provided in Section 4.0.
e Heavy construction traffic on asphalt pavements may exceed the design loads and could
potentially damage or shorten the life of the pavements. Therefore, we recommend the
contractor take appropriate measures to protect the pavement during construction.
