Dear Jill Ding:
The King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) has received the Re-Notice of
Application and Proposed Determination of Non-Significance(DNS) for the May Creek South
Trail - 4260 Lake Washington Blvd project (LUA25-000091, ECF, SSDP, CU-A, V-A / PR25-
000001) that proposes the applicant is requesting Environmental (SEPA) Review, Shoreline
Substantial Development Permit, Shoreline Conditional Use Permit, and a Shoreline Variance
to construct an ADA-accessible trail along the south side of May Creek that includes 2
viewpoints, multiple boardwalk sections over delineated wetlands, and a bridge crossing that
spans the 100-year floodplain at 4260 Lake Washington Blvd, Renton, WA 98056 (APN
3224059109). The 8.21-acre parcel is located in the Residential-6 (R-6) zoning district and is
designated Residential Medium Density (RMD) in the Comprehensive Plan. The site is currently
used as Public Park.
A King County facility, the May Creek Interceptor is located within the project area. (See
enclosed record drawing showing the location of the facility in the project vicinity).
In order to protect this wastewater facility during construction, WTD requires that City of
Renton submit preliminary design drawings for the project, so that WTD can assess its
potential impacts. Please send drawings to:
