HomeMy WebLinkAboutC_KCWTD_Comments Department of Natural Resources and Parks King Street Center, KSC-NR-0500 201 South Jackson Street Seattle, WA 98104-3854 May 19, 2025 sent via email: jding@rentonwa.gov KC OAP Ref No.: 2322 Jill Ding City of Renton 1055 South Grady Way Renton, WA 98057 Dear Jill Ding: The King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD) has received the Re-Notice of Application and Proposed Determination of Non-Significance(DNS) for the May Creek South Trail - 4260 Lake Washington Blvd project (LUA25-000091, ECF, SSDP, CU-A, V-A / PR25- 000001) that proposes the applicant is requesting Environmental (SEPA) Review, Shoreline Substantial Development Permit, Shoreline Conditional Use Permit, and a Shoreline Variance to construct an ADA-accessible trail along the south side of May Creek that includes 2 viewpoints, multiple boardwalk sections over delineated wetlands, and a bridge crossing that spans the 100-year floodplain at 4260 Lake Washington Blvd, Renton, WA 98056 (APN 3224059109). The 8.21-acre parcel is located in the Residential-6 (R-6) zoning district and is designated Residential Medium Density (RMD) in the Comprehensive Plan. The site is currently used as Public Park. A King County facility, the May Creek Interceptor is located within the project area. (See enclosed record drawing showing the location of the facility in the project vicinity). In order to protect this wastewater facility during construction, WTD requires that City of Renton submit preliminary design drawings for the project, so that WTD can assess its potential impacts. In the event that May 19, 2025 Page 2 of 2 the line must be relocated, a new permanent easement must be provided.
