EF90426 CASE# 25-3747 OF COLLI 510N TIME 04/28/25 04:20 COLLISION NARRATIVE Unless otherwise noted, all events took place in the City of Renton, in the County of King, in the State of Washington. This incident was captured on my body worn video camera and in-car cameras. This report is a summary of events that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. On 4/28/2025, at approximately 0421 hours I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run at Sunset Blvd N and NE 3rd St. Dispatch advised 3 minutes ago, hit and run with the suspect vehicle last seen northbound. At approximately 0425 hours 1 arrived on scene. I observed Unit 2 up on the curb against the wall of the southbound lane of the Houser Way Bypass just before the tunnel. I observed significant damage to the front driver side bumper, wheel well and tire. There was also damage to the rear drivers side bumper of Unit 2. 1 contacted the driver of Unit 2 and he stated that he had some complaints of chest, back and leg pain. Renton Fire responded and evaluated the driver of Unit 2. The driver of Unit 2 advised the following information. He was driving northbound in lane 3 of 3. As the driver of Unit 2 began to head north on the Houser Way Bypass he witnessed Unit 1 exit the parking lot of 7eleven and drive westbound across all northbound lanes of traffic and then turn northbound in the southbound lanes driving into oncoming traffic. Unit 1 then swerved to the right into the northbound lane of the Houser Way Bypass striking the rear driver side of unit 2 with the front passenger side of Unit 1. This caused Unit 2 the lose control driving into the wall on the west side of the Houser Way Bypass. The driver of Unit 2 stated he then saw Unit 1 proceed northbound through the Houser Way Bypass tunnel. The driver of the Unit 2 stated it was a white or silver sedan possibly a KIA but couldn't be certain. I found a broken off hubcap with the Chevrolet symbol near the location of the crash. Officers checked for camera footage at the 7/11 but they stated they would need a manager to view the cameras and the manager was not at the store. No other suspect information at this time. If a suspect can be identified there is probable cause for the crime of hit and run attended.
