Statements have been paraphrased and summarized. On 05-24-20251 was working as a police officer in a fully marked, department issued uniform, patrolling in a marked police vehicle for the city of Renton.At approximately 1225 hours I was dispatched to a recent non-injury hit and run at the intersection of Logan Ave N/N 8th St, City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. I gathered from the call notes, about 3 minutes ago in the southbound lanes a hit and run occurred.The suspect was gone on arrival northbound on Logan Ave N. Dispatch advised over the air that the suspect vehicle was a gray Mazda CX-5, and later confirmed as a gray 2011 Mazda CX-9(license plate#CLR3739/WA).The driver of the Mazda was described as a black male,20-30 years of age, approximately 5'10" in height, and had a thin build. I was in the area of the dispatch location and conducted an area check in an attempt to locate the Mazda. I was unable to locate the Mazda, and I contacted the reporting party(Takira A. Boltman DOB 10-15-1996) by phone. I contacted Boltman by phone and we agreed to meet at the downtown Safeway, so that I can observe the damage to her vehicle. I met with Boltman and her passenger Mason P. Rohrbaugh (DOB 09-05-1993)at the west end of the parking lot. I observed Boltman's vehicle,which was a silver 2013 Hyundai Veloster(license plate#AIH2O06/WA). I saw that at the rear driver's side fender,there was minor scrapes and a small inch and a half crack on the fender. Boltman advised that the following occurred: Boltman drove her vehicle west on N Landing Way towards Logan Ave N with her front passenger Rohrbaugh. Boltman turned south onto Logan Ave N in the far-right Lane closest to the sidewalk.While Boltman was stationary in that lane,the driver of the Mazda attempted to turn south onto Logan Ave N from N Landing Way.While the driver attempted the turn,the driver collided with the rear driver's side fender of Boltman's vehicle. Both Boltman and the driver of the Mazda pulled over just south of the intersection of Logan Ave N/N 8th St. Everyone exited the vehicle to talk about exchange of information, and suddenly Boltman heard the start of a car ignition. The only added description Boltman provided for the driver of the Mazda was that he had a very dark skin complexion. Boltman also said that she would be able to identify the driver of the Mazda if she saw him again. Boltman advised that she wanted to be a victim of a crime and pursue charges. If a suspect is identified, I have probable cause to believe that they have committed the crime of Hit and Run Attended (RCW 46.52.020), by failure to provide their name, address, insurance, and contact information after being involved in a motor vehicle collision. 1 took photos of Boltman's vehicle and uploaded them to evidence.com. I also took a photo of the Mazda provided by Boltman and uploaded that photo to evidence.com. The registered owner of the Mazda is Yakez N.Jeffcoat(DOB 04-12-2001), and his WADOL photo closely resembles the description of the driver given by Boltman. 1 provided a case number to Boltman to reference this incident.
