On 5/26/2025 1 was working as a uniformed patrol officer and driving a marked patrol vehicle for the City
of Renton. I was dispatched to a report of a hit and run which had occurred at the intersection of 156th
Ave SE and SE 128th St Renton/King/WA.Alexander D White DOB: 12/22/1992 was calling to report that
someone had rear-ended him while he was waiting at the stop Light and then fled south on 156th Ave SE.
Alexander reported the suspect vehicle as a white Ford van with a license plate similar too WA/D50969D.
This plate returned to a red truck out of Lacey WA.
Alexander said that he was pulling over at Safeway Located at 4300 NE 4th St, a few moments Later
Alexander called back to advise the suspect vehicle was parked in front of O'Reilly Auto Parts and
appeared the driver was delivering packages. He provided the correct plate of WA/D50996D which
returned to a 2023 Ford Transit registered to O'Reilly Auto Parts.The vehicle left the scene prior to my
arrival.
I met Alexander at Safeway, and he explained he was stopped at the light to head west on NE 4th when
the Ford rear-ended him at low speed. He advised he was not injured and there was no damage to his
vehicle. He said that the Ford then turned south on 156th Ave where he lost sight of it. He said that he
pulled into Safeway just because it was a Large parking lot and unexpectedly located the van.
Alexander described the driver as a white male, 30-40 years old, slender build, long brown hair, last seen
wearing a yellow hat and green shirt.
Alexander said that he did not wish to press charges but did hope he could get insurance information.
I contacted the manager, Robert, of O'Reilly's at their NE 4th St location, he provided me with the
company insurance information and phone number to provide to Alexander.Alexander left the scene
before I could provide him with this information.
Robert also advised that the driver of the delivery van works at the O'Reilly's Located at 307 Rainier Ave S
and is named Evelyn Tanner.
