DISCUSSIONS WITH CONTRACTOR:
Colvico proposed an alternative approach to mounting the conduits to the reservoir support and ladder than what was submitted and shown on the plans. The approach is to install unistrut
across the top of the ladder brackets next to the tank support instead of hanging conduits on a bracket on the side of the ladder brackets. Colvico said that this would be a no cost
change but would allow for less interference with the ladder access and more support for the conduits. RH2 requested that Colvico formally submit their proposed design as part of an
RFI.
Colvico suggested eliminating the retaining wall around the load bank as in their opinion there is enough space to install the load bank without having to affect the slope. Also, the
slope is somewhat small compared to the slope next to the generator shelter. RH2 stated that the required load bank clearances for ventilation purposes may require the retaining wall
to be installed to cut back the slope. Also, Colvico suggested maybe installing the retaining wall along the entire slope from the generator to the load bank for consistency and aesthetics
as the slope is steeper in the area around the generator. Colvico was going to check the clearance requirements for the load bank ventilation and prepare an RFI.
Colvico requested confirmation that the use of EMT conduit was acceptable in the radio room for the lighting, receptacle, and HVAC circuits. The specifications allow for EMT to be used
for lighting type circuits indoors, so RH2 agreed that EMT is allowed for these circuits.
