DISCUSSIONS WITH CONTRACTOR:
The contractor has ordered larger, mogul style, LBs to replace the existing 2” LBs located near the automatic transfer switch that are part of P1 to provide additional space for its
conductors. This should resolve any concerns the City has with the existing LBs.
The contractor was aware of the City’s concern over the fiber optic bending radius requirements and the existing LBs installed at the radio room. After reviewing and modeling the submitted
fiber optic cable information and the existing LBs, there does not appear to be any issue with using the installed LBs with the submitted fiber optic cables.
