NOTICE OF ACTION TAKEN
Lindbergh High School Field Improvements
1.Notice of Action (NOA):Notice is given under RCW 43.21C.080,that Renton School District took
the action described in (2)below on February 6,2025.Any action to set aside,enjoin,review,or
otherwise challenge such action on the grounds of noncompliance with the provisions of Chapter 43.21C
RCW (State Environmental Policy Act)shall be commenced on or before April 2,2025.Said NOA will
be published two times in the newspaper.This NOA will also be filed with the Washington State
Department of Ecologyat its main office in Olympia prior to newspaperpublication.Finally,a notice of
action will be posted at thesite.
2.Description of Action Taken:On February 6,2025,Renton School District issued a Mitigated
Determination of Nonsignificance (MDNS)for the Lindbergh High School Field Improvementproject.
3.Description of Proposal:Renton School District (RSD)is proposing site and field improvements at
the Lindbergh High School baseball and softball field to enhance the usability.This includes converting
existing field surfaces from natural turf and clay/silt infields to synthetic turf with cork and sand infill.
This includes associated underground stormwaterdetention systems,similar to Rainvault.Field lighting
with poles of 60-90’,“full cutoff’housing,and LED fixtures are also proposed.Additional improvements
covered in the SEPA checklist include a new batting cage structure of 40’by 100’with an enclosed
storage area of 800 SF.Updated dugouts,scoreboard,a public address system,hardscaping and a concrete
pad for temporarytoilets are proposed and were studied in this SEPA process.Completion of the latter
items is dependenton available funding.

5.Type of Environmental Review under SEPA:A Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance
(MDNS)and Environmental Checklist were published and opened for review and public comment from
February 6,2025 through February 20,2025.Prior to the MDNS,a Notice of SEPA Consultation was
issued and opened for review and public comment from January 6,2025 through January 21,2025.

and documents is available for public review during normal business hours at the District address listed
below.
