Further details indicated the vehicle, White Honda Civic with WA plate #BTD2222, had gone through a planter and sign on the curb. The airbag was deployed and the axle was broken. Upon my arrival I noticed the above vehicle stopped on the southwest corner of the intersection blocking the sidewalk facing westbound. The driver front axle appeared to be broken. There was a righthand only turn sign in the QFC parking lot that was partially knocked over as well. I spoke with the driver/lone occupant of the above vehicle, identified by his WADL as Bao G. Tang (DOB 07-27- 1998). He advised he had been involved in some sort of road rage back at McDonalds located at NE Sunset Blvd and Anacortes Ave NE. He said another vehicle thought he brake checked them. He said he had pulled up along side the other vehicle somewhere between McDonalds and Starbucks located at NE Sunset and Duvall Ave NE. He said the driver of the other vehicle stated something to the effect of"you want to play with your life". The other driver was holding a gun in his hand and was shaking it up and down. Bao said the driver did not point it at him. He said he was about 95% certain it was a gun. He advised he was shocked when the other driver started waving the gun. Bao continued southbound on Duvall Ave NE while the other driver continued to follow him. Bao lost sight of the other driver as they were coming through the curves on Duvall Ave NE. Bao said he was in lane #1 and was driving fast when he tried turning westbound onto NE 4th St. He could not give me an approximate speed he was traveling at. He said he lost control and his vehicle ended up where I observed it currently resting. He said he was wearing his seatbelt and uninjured. Due to the driver airbag being deployed, 1 requested Renton Fire Authority to the scene to evaluate Bao. RFA advised Bao declined aid. I spoke with a witness, identified by his WADL as Alexander M. Murillo (DOB 06-29-1974). He advised he was traveling east bound on NE 4th St when he observed Bao traveling south on Duvall Ave NE lose control and end up on the south side of the intersection where the vehicle was currently resting. He advised no one else was in Bao's vehicle and did not observe anyone chasing him. Bao described the driver of the road rage incident as a Hispanic male with facial hair. He advised he was driving an unknown make or model gray sedan or coupe. He advised he would not be able to recognize the male again. He advised he did not want to assist with prosecution for criminal charges of harassment. Bankers Towing responded to the scene and removed Bao's vehicle. During this incident, 1 was equipped with a body-worn camera, which records both audio and video.
