The following comments and recommendations stem from information in the SEPA checklist for this proposed action and additional information about health risks to people in King County. Based on the SEPA 202502139 checklist you provided for the City of Renton, this proposed action includes: · Parcel subdivision, Parcel assembling or replat, and existing building demolition. Neighborhood conditions for the location of this proposed action include: · low park and open space access levels · high tree canopy cover · low proximity to high-speed transit · low access to the regional trails network CAUTION: This email originated from outside the City of Renton. Do not click links, reply or open attachments unless you know the content is safe. 2 · Health conditions of residents in this neighborhood include: · low social vulnerability rating (CDC SVI) · low asthma prevalence (BRFSS) · high COPD prevalence (chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder) · low obesity prevalence Some opportunities for this project to contribute to the health and well-being of building occupants and neighbors include: · Given this project is not near frequent transit service, consider including carpool parking and additional square footage of secure, ground-level, in-building, bicycle parking and locker area, and promote visibility to and safe and easy access to transit or ride-share pick-up locations. · Given the limited amount of public open spaces in the vicinity of this project, seek to provide for occupant recreation needs and open space access by including these amenities in the project site design and landscaping plan.
