Officer Narrative
Narrative
On 06/06/2025, 1 was working uniformed patrol in a marked police car as 3R22.At approximately 2107
hours, I was dispatched to an accident report to be handled by phone which was originally reported at NE
4th St/Union Ave NE, Renton.The actual incident location occurred closer to the 200 block of S 3rd St,
which is still located within the city limits of Renton, County of King,Washington.
The two involved vehicles and their respective occupants are identified as listed above.
I was able to contact the involved driver/caller of Unit 2.She explained the following to me:
At approximately 1800 hours, she stated she was headed eastbound on S 3rd St, in the left-most lane,
passing the Safeway and Fortune Casino parking lot area. She described that she noticed that Unit 1 was
driving next to her in the adjacent right lane.As Unit 2 drove past the Safeway, still headed eastbound on
S 3rd St, she stated that Unit 1 had begun to turn left to head northbound on a nearby adjacent street.
This resulted in Unit 1's front driver's side bumper area impacting the passenger side doors of Unit 2. Unit
2 described that the collision occurred just east of the Safeway but was unable to specify an exact
Location.The driver of Unit 2 stated that she believed Unit 1 attempted to drive away but was eventually
able to catch up to the vehicle, and exchange information successfully.
The driver of Unit 2 mentioned that there were minor scratches and a small dent that extended along
both the front and rear passenger doors from where Unit 1 s front driver's side bumper had impacted her
vehicle. She sent me photos of the damage which I uploaded to Evidence.com.
The driver of Unit 2 did not report any injuries to her or any of her occupants at this time.
The driver of Unit 2 also mentioned that the driver of Unit 1 did not have insurance for his vehicle and that
there was another unknown front passenger with Unit 1 who she did not get any information from.
I attempted to contact Unit 1's driver using the phone number he provided Unit 2 to no avail.
Unit 2 stated she was able to leave the location in her vehicle.She also mentioned that she was only able
to report this incident now due to other obligations she needed to tend to and wanted a report to provide
to her insurance company.
Based on what Unit 2's driver reported, I found that Unit 1 was the proximate cause of the collision.
This report is for informational purposes to document the accident.
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
