This incident was captured on my body worn video camera.This report is a summary of events
that occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and
summarized.
On 06-09-2025 1 was working as a police officer in a fully marked department issued uniform and
patrolling in a marked police vehicle for the city of Renton. At approximately 0812 hours I was
dispatched to a hit and run recent report at Valley Medical Center(VMC), located at 400 S 43rd
St, City of Renton, County of King, State of Washington.
I gathered from the call notes, about ten ago there was an accident hit and run that occurred
and the suspect was gone on arrival in an unknown direction.
The reporting party was in a red 2011 Lexus RX350 (license plate#CMS3871/WA), and the
suspect vehicle was in a brown SUV with an unknown license plate. The reporting party would
wait in their vehicle for contact and will be at the Medical Arts Center Building.
I arrived on scene and contacted the reporting party who 1 positively identified as Lolita B.
Capalungan (DOB 05-17-1954)via WADOL photo. Lolita showed no signs of injury, and I
observed the rear end of her Lexus had obvious damage.The rear end of the vehicle had white
scuff marks on the left rear bumper, a chipped piece of metal near the left rear taillight, and the
trunk had a large indent.
Lolita advised that she had a minor"whiplash" injury, and did not need any medical attention at
that time.
Lolita advised me the following occurred: Lolita drove northbound on SR167 and exited on the
off ramp towards SW 43rd St/S 180th St. Lolita turned to go eastbound on SW 43rd St in the
furthest right turn only lane to turn south onto Davis Ave S.An unknown light brown SUV/truck
with an unknown license plate collided with the rear of Lolita's vehicle.The unknown SUV/truck
passed her on the left and changed lanes back to the right turn only lane in front of her. Lolita
said they both turned south on Davis Ave S, and she observed the unknown SUV/truck

accelerate south. Lolita attempted to follow the vehicle, but lost sight of it.
If a suspect is identified, I have probable cause to believe that they have committed the crime of
Hit and Run Attended (RCW 46.42.020), by colliding with another vehicle and not stopping to
provide an exchange of name,vehicle registration,vehicle insurance, or contact information.
Lolita spoke with her husband on the phone, and she advised me that she did not want to be a
victim of a crime, and only wanted a report for insurance purposes.
I took photos of Lolita's vehicle and uploaded them to evidence.com.
I provided Lolita a copy of the case number to reference this incident.
I conducted an area check for the suspect vehicle at the Copper Ridge Apartments, and did not
Locate a vehicle that matched the description Lolita gave.
This concludes my involvement in this case.
