EF98216 CASE# 25-4742 OATS OF COLLI r�510NN + 05/31/25 17:40 L1 NARRATIVE 25-4742 On 05/31/2025 at approximately 1740 hours, Ion viewed a traffic collision located at the 400 block of S 43rd St, within the City Limits of Renton, County of King, State of Washington. Upon arrival, I contacted the involved parties and confirmed no injuries had occurred requiring immediate medical response at the time of report. There, I collected the involved parties' driving documents and their independent recollection of events leading up to the collision. Unit 1, Jeremy Johnson Head (DOB 03/07/1980) identified by his WADL. Jeremy was driving his Bronze 1999 Subaru Legacy (CSK0342/WA), VIN/4S3BK4353X6316209. Jeremy had a passenger in the front passenger seat named Adrian Rae Pili Garcia (DOB 11/21/2002) identified by his WADL. Unit 2, Skye Shania Mariko Kaleokalani Pyo (DOB 03/17/1999) identified by her Hawaii driver's license. Skye was driving a white 2021 Hyundai Kona (CLB7860/WA), VIN/KM8K62AA1 MU731508. I observed Unit 2 stopped in the turn lane to head north on WA 167 approximately 100 ft back from the highway entrance when Unit 1 began to back up in the turn lane directly towards Unit 2. Unit 2 had no way to avoid and tried honking the horn to gain Unit 1's attention. Unit 1's rear bumper collided with Unit 2's front bumper, causing over $1000 of damage to Unit 2's vehicle. Neither of the vehicles needed to be towed. cited Unit 1 for RCW 46.61.605, which states: The driver of a vehicle shall not back the same unless such movement can be made with safety and without interfering with other traffic. Unit 1 failed to back up safely. When asked for unit 2 WADL and insurance, she was not able to provide the information. I cited the driver of Unit#2 for violating RCW 46.30.020-Liability Insurance as no person may operate a motor vehicle subject to registration under chapter 46.16A RCW in this state unless the person is insured under a motor vehicle liability policy with liability limits of at least the amounts provided in RCW 46.29.090, is self-insured as provided in RCW 46.29.630, is covered by a certificate of deposit in conformance with RCW 46.29.550, or is covered by a liability bond of at least the amounts provided in. Based on my observation of the collision, I determined that the Driver of Unit#1 (Jeremy J Head) is the proximate cause of the collision due to the unsafe backing movement of his vehicle. I provided an exchange of information for both parties with each of their contact information and case number. This incident was captured on my body worn camera.
