This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that
occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 06/10/2025 at approximately 2312 hours I was dispatched to a hit and run collision which had
occurred at the intersection of East Valley Rd and S 43rd St.
The victim vehicle was a 2016 Toyota Rav 4 bearing WA/BND5989.The suspect vehicle was a dark grey or
black sedan.The victim,Aaron R.Young(06/24/1988), did not get a complete license plate for the vehicle
but believed it was close to WA/CJJ135.The plate was run through Flock for any near hits but resulted in
no findings.
Young explained to me he was facing southbound in lane 2 of 3 on East Valley Rd. He was at a red-light
waiting to turn left when the suspect vehicle failed to stop and collided with the rear end of Young's
vehicle.Young stated he put his vehicle in park and the suspect vehicle reversed away and then
continued driving south on East Valley Rd.The suspect vehicle then turned east onto S 43rd St where
Young lost sight of it.
Young stated the driver of the vehicle was a black male in his late 40s. He stated the mate was bald or
had very short hair and was wearing glasses.
Young was provided a case number for the incident.
Unit#1 (SUSPECT)committed one (1)count of Hit-and-Run—Attended by being involved in an accident
with another vehicle,which is attended, and failing to stop and remain at the scene until fulfilling all
statutory duties(provide name, address, insurance company, policy,vehicle license, exhibit driver's
License and render reasonable assistance to any person injured).
There is no suspect information at this time.
