This incident was captured on my body worn video camera. This report is a summary of events that
occurred and is not an exact sequencing of events. Statements have been paraphrased and summarized.
On 06/11/2025 at approximately 1817 hours I was dispatched to a non-injury hit and run which had
occurred at Benson Dr S and SE 174th St. Dispatch advised a Silver Nissan Pathfinder bearing
WA/CEF0110(Unit#1) had collided with the rear end of another vehicle and left the scene without
providing any information to the other involved.
I area checked for a vehicle matching that description. I met with the reporting party, Kulbeer S. Gill
(08/26/1988),who informed me of the following:
Gill was proceeding Southbound on Benson Dr S in his vehicle which is a White 2014 Lexus GS bearing
WA/CJC9573 (Unit#2). Unit#2 was stopped in traffic near the intersection of Benson Dr S and SE 174th
St when Unit#1 collided with the rear end of Unit#2. Gill stated he put his vehicle in park and stepped
out to assess the damage when the driver of Unit#1 stated he was hit by the vehicle behind him. Gill
stated he looked behind Unit#1, but no vehicle had collided with it.
Both Unit#1 and Unit#2 pulled into McDonalds located at 10715 SE 174th St, City of Renton. Gill met
with the driver of Unit#1 who stated the vehicle was not his and he did not have insurance for it. Gill
stated he told the driver he was going to call 911 to have police respond and the driver got back in Unit#1
and drove off southbound on 108th Ave SE. Gill described driver as a Hispanic male in his 20s,wearing
blue jeans, a baseball cap, and a multi-colored T-shirt. He stated the male also had a goatee.
I ran the suspect plate through WACIC/NCIC but found no return.The vehicle is registered to a female
owner out of Stanwood,Washington.
Unit#2 had minimal damage to the rear bumper. It was able to be driven away without incident.
I provided Gill with a Renton PD Case number.
Unit#1 (Unknown suspect)committed one (1)count of Hit-and-Run—Attended by being involved in an
accident with another vehicle,which is attended, and failing to stop and remain at the scene until
fulfilling all statutory duties(provide name, address, insurance company, policy,vehicle license, exhibit
driver's license and render reasonable assistance to any person injured).
This incident occurred in the sCity of Renton,King County,Washington State.
