Dispatch advised that Renton Fire was already enroute. I arrived in the area an located Renton Fire blocking the southbound lane of Longacres Dr SW and a white commercial van stopped on the west shoulder. Fire was treating the Ped/Boone and I was contacted by the driver of the van-Wit/Bower. Bower told me he watched unit 1 a gray sedan hit Boone/Ped, stop and remain on scene for just long enough to exchange words with Boone, then leave the scene westbound on SW Grady Way. Bower provided a description of the driver as a late 30's-early 40's Asian male with a goatee and a postal employee uniform shirt. Bower provided a Wa plate of BPE6300 on the fleeing suspect vehicle. That plate returned to a gray vehicle that was owned by an Asian male. I went to make contact with Boone/Ped. I was advised by Dispatch that Tukwila PD had made contact with the the driver of gray sedan with the same plate and the driver wearing a postal worker shirt, at the post office in their area. The Victim/Boone told me that he was crossing the roadway in a marked crosswalk from west to east. He told me it was clear for him to cross and as he was going so the gray car pulled up slowly to almost a stop but inside the crosswalk. Boone said to the driver, what are you doing this is a crosswalk and the driver pulled forward hitting him and knocking him to the ground. Boone told me he wasnt sure if the contact was intentional as he made eye contact with the driver. He said he yelled back to the unit 1 driver/ Hey!. The driver started rolling his driver side window up and sped away westbound without providing any information. He told me he suffered leg and shin pain from the contact and jambed his ring finger on his right hand as he hit the ground. Boone did not want to be transported by ambulance and said he would seek additional medical treatment if needed. Renton Officer Arnold arrived onscene and transported Bower to that location in Tukwila for a show up with a 95% positive ID of the driver. Arnold said Bower did not get as good of a look at the driver because the driver had fled and every thing happened so quickly. Arnold also transported Boone to the post office location in Tukwila for a show up. Boone was able to 100% ID Moua as the suspect driver operating the vehicle that struck and injured him. Boone said he wanted to assist with prosecution as the victim of the hit and run. See Officer Arnoldo's supplemental report for comments made by unit 1 driver. MOUA, NENG. DATE OF BIRTH: 07-14-1973 did commit hit and run with injury by striking a pedestrian lawful upon the roadway crossing in the crosswalk, acknowledging the contact between his vehicle and the Ped and fleeing the scene without meeting the requirements under the RCW 46.52.020. 1 cited Moua ref RCW 46.52.020 hit and run with injury via complaint through the Renton Prosecutors Office.
